NatureView® are beautiful natural woods merged with contemporary interactive art. The fifth entry to the NatureView® collection, LichenIt combines spalted Maple hardwood end-grain veneer with multiple shades of yellow- green color shifting resin. The veneer colors range from light tan to almost black with multiple shades of brown.This unique piece derives its name from how the colors of the resin are reminiscent of a walk through the woods and seeing the various tints of Lichen growing in the forest.The veneer in this piece is very thin, allowing the viewer to take in more of the natural wood grain and pencil-line spalting.
We have taken this truly unique art to the next level and encased it in a contrasting Cherry wood, shadow-box style frame and protected it using premium quality anti-glare and UV resistant Museum Glass®.
Brass accompaniments and hangers finish the frame.The art is backlit with specifically programmed RGB LED lights (110v) bringing out every detail of the wood grain and enhancing the colors. The resultant glow is both mesmerizing and entrancing.
Engraved brass plate with the name, serial number, date of completion and signature of the artist is included.
