Strawberry Swirl

Strawberry Swirl:  Our newest Unique Original wood and epoxy resin creation is a gorgeous, spalted maple burl bowl. A cream colored rim slowly melts away into vertical swirls in the transparent red and orange resin.  This is a rather large 11" W x 6" H bowl with 3/8" sides and a 3/4" bottom.  Weight is 4 lb.  The profile is reminiscent of a vintage jelly jar. The beautiful burl and colors are balanced evenly through-out and features a strawberry glowing live edge around the circumference.  The inside bottom is 90% burl and really showcases the intense grain of this piece.  The underside contains our trademark brass medallion with logo, piece name, date, serial # and signature of the artist.  This piece is currently on display at the Sticks and Stones in Buckley, WA  (NOTE: The small dots seen in the photos are mica pigment in the resin.  They are NOT air bubbles.  We use both a vacuum chamber and pressure pot in our process to achieve flawless castings. )
