Petals    - Western Red Alder and resin serving dish

Petals started as a prototype to create a new type of woodturned and resin functional art. Crafted from spalted Western Red Alder and resin.  The alder plate was first turned on the lathe and then cast in the resin mold.  The resin cast was a two step process that resulted in the defining pink and white colors.  The plate was then painstakingly formed by hand creating this very unique piece.  

Purchase this unique one of kind item today.  Due to the labor intensive process to complete, the artist will not be planning to reproduce this in the future. 

The dish bottom includes a brass medallion engraved with the pieces name; serial number; date; and signature of the artist. (slight defect obscures the company logo)

Includes a food safe coating. (not dishwasher safe). Perfect for charcuterie, brie and crackers or chips and hummus or salsa.
