It All Starts With A Tree

It all starts with a tree.... 

Once the logs are milled, they are rough cut, stacked and sorted by size.

Pieces are chosen by size and applicability for the specific project. We base pieces on species, moisture content, grain pattern and spalting. (See our page on 'What Is Spalting?').  One piece of wood could yield three or more different projects.  We use every scrap down to the sawdust.  See our Sustainability Commitment for more information on NO-WASTE WOODWORKING®
