Our Story

Our company started with salvaging locally sourced, distressed logs and milling them.   This way, we could focus on having an inventory of premium wood slabs that could become an outstanding piece of art.  Whether it is a bowl, wall hanging or a cutting board it all starts in having just the right material. 

After working almost 35 years in the corporate world, in 2024 there was an opportunity to pursue the passion to create art full-time. After working in a federally regulated industry for decades, you lose touch with your creative side and become robotic.  By starting Unique Originals it brought back that feeling of accomplishment that had been lost for so long.

Being your own person again and freely creating without having to follow some arcane rule or regulation grows the artistic passion. That passion is then portrayed in each of our pieces and the interactions with each of our clients.
